Feet and Hands in February 2015

I seem to have developed a fascination for feet and hands, and they have a clear role to play within my preoccupation with 'perspective' and 'enlarging that which is nearest to me'.
I am becoming aware of changes in the role each hand is playing in my two-handed drawing technique. But I have yet to analyse what is happening, so as yet I am not prepared to try and describe these new developments.

I'm on a high!

And why shouldn't I be?
Alighting at Heathrow, after two weeks in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, late Wednesday evening and going straight to draw Robin on Thursday morning, followed a few days later with a new and contrasting model, and making marks and compositions all of which I am really pleased with.
I feel these drawings do indicate a new phase, a new step in my life-drawing journey:

Mark-making is more relaxed, probably because I am more relaxed. There are few, if any, heavy uncontrolled marks of frustration.
Compositions sit well within the boundaries of the paper.
The making of each drawing seemed to flow easily from within me (I simply drew, with little or no pre-planning, with no thoughts of what I would like to achieve).
Issues such as 'foreshortening', 'perspective', 'exaggerating-the-near', 'lighter through to heavier marks', 'advance and distance', all seemed to be handled naturally by me.
Apart from the final drawing I am using a fine-liner pen in each hand, so every mark is recorded and no corrections can be made. So what you see is an accurate record of the making of the drawing. There can be no attempt to conceal error. And I do feel there is little error.

I feel I have gained a significant insight and understanding into what I have been doing in life-drawing, what I have been experimenting with, over the past months. I seem to have 'brought together' and 'refined' a number of my life-drawing pre-occupations of recent times.

'Attempts at the advancing feet': drawing Robin on January 8th 2015

The start of a new year of life-drawing, but nothing new emerging yet  (I'm posting these drawings on February 4th, so I know what's coming in the next posting, and with that knowledge I can reveal that I do sense a a new phase has started, but more on that next time).
As for these six drawings, apart from the first one, a common issue may be summerised as, a) the advancing hand or foot, b) foreshortening, c) exaggerating that which is nearest. In the second drawing it should be clear what I am attempting, althought the execution of the actual drawing of the hands and feet are somewhat crude. On the other hand I am pleased with the final drawing in which I have introduced a contrasting weight of line between the near and distant parts of the pose.
As usual, all are two-handed pencil drawings on A1 cartridge paper.
