After my operation I had a rest from life-drawing and when I returned, for some reason, I elected to take with me only a box of fine-liner pens.

I started this blog at the beginning of 2010 simply to share my enthusism for life drawing with others outside the life drawing classes which I attend. It has become a weekly (more or less) diary of developments in my life drawing journey and is illustrated with a selection of each week's output. This has allowed me to create a formal, chronological record of my journey, which otherwise would probably be lost. It allows me to quickly recall what I have been doing and to reflect upon what I have experienced and achieved. I hope others find it worthwhile to explore.

All the life drawings posted will have been completed within a life drawing class, from a live model. Most are on A1 cartridge paper. Some are on clear gesso treated cartridge paper with some earlier work on pastel paper. They include short (up to 10 minute gesture drawings) and longer drawings (usually about 30 minutes, with a few up to about 90 minutes at the most).

More recently I have become fascinated by the process of drawing with both hands simultaneously, and one or two of my postings discuss this approach.
